IN-PERSON AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: You must prepare to sing 16 bars of music of your choosing. Required to bring your own sheet music—an accompanist will be provided. (You may be cut off if your song exceeds 16 bars). Everyone will only get one chance at auditioning. To ensure we can accommodate all applicants, each actor will audition only once with no re-takes.

Dancing-only ensemble: If you are not interested in singing in the show, and only want to dance, you may attend our callback dance audition or submit a video. A song is not required for dancing-only ensemble unless you also want to be considered for singing roles.

This is an open audition and you do not need experience to apply! We are seeking an intergenerational group of artists (youth, teens, young adults, adults, older adults) to develop and perform this play.

One Bite is a new play from Rising Youth Theatre about food and memory, and the connections between people across ages and cultures. Conceived in partnership with Masil Theatre of South Korea, this play will premiere in December 2026 and tour in the spring of 2027.

Closer begins with a chance encounter between two strangers and grows into an intimate exploration of four people whose lives become increasingly entangled over several years. Attraction becomes love, love becomes possession, and curiosity becomes interrogation as each asks the people closest to them for the one thing they may not actually be prepared to receive: the truth.
Set in 1990s London, Patrick Marber’s play is less interested in who cheated on whom than in what we believe intimacy entitles us to know about another person. These characters lie, confess, provoke, forgive, wound and reach for one another, often in the same breath, revealing the complicated distance between looking at someone and truly seeing them. How close can we really get to another person, and how much of them belongs to us once we do?
Closer contains explicit sexual conversations, sexual tension between multiple characters, implied sexual activity, innuendo, and adult language, as well as themes of infidelity, kinks, power dynamics and adult entertainment.
The production includes sexualized posing and partial undressing, along with choreographed physical aggression. The character of ALICE may explore top nudity in one scene; however, nudity will not be a requirement of the role or a condition of casting. There is also the implication of the revealing of genitalia. The character of LARRY features a brief simulated moment of self-stimulation.
All staged intimacy and fights will be choreographed and rehearsed with a qualified intimacy director and fight personnel in accordance with consent-based practices. There will be no intimacy, nudity, partial undress or physical aggression required during auditions or callbacks.

Drama critic Mortimer Brewster’s engagement announcement is upended when he discovers a corpse in his elderly aunts’ window seat. Mortimer rushes to tell Abby and Martha before they stumble upon the body themselves, only to learn that the two old women aren’t just aware of the dead man in their parlor, they killed him! Between his aunts’ penchant for poisoning wine, a brother who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, and another brother using plastic surgery to hide from the police – not to mention Mortimer’s own hesitancy about marriage – it’ll be a miracle if Mortimer makes it to his wedding. Arsenic and Old Lace is a classic dark comedy about the only thing more deadly than poison: family.
